During pupillage, Aaminah was awarded the Malcolm Wright Pupillage Award, the Terence Fitzgerald Pupillage Award, the State School Pupillage Award and during the BVC a Benefactor’s Scholarship and a Blackstone’s Entrance Exhibition award.

Aaminah has developed a varied common law practice, with a particular interest in personal injury including RTA’s, employer’s liability, highway and defective premises claims and is instructed by both Defendants and Claimants. Aaminah also practices costs litigation, attending detailed assessment hearings and contested costs applications.

Aaminah has also maintained a criminal practice, both prosecuting and defending. She has experience of being instructed by the Revenue and Customs, including application for the detention and forfeiture of cash under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and condemnation hearings. Aaminah has previously spent a period of secondment with HM Customs and Excise; where part of her time was spend on carousel VAT fraud cases. Aaminah’s practise also includes coroner’s inquests and licensing, particularly taxi licence suspension and revocation appeals.

In her spare time, Aaminah enjoys watching live music and cycling.
